American and New Guinean cultures up until the 50's-ish that still valued betrayal as the highest art form of a warrior - as they were able to inflict the highest amount of pain? Literally - like learning how to beat a physical body so that the wounds wouldn't show, warriors would befriend fellow tribesmen and then rape and murder the wife, steal their children and leave the friend to suffer. No blood. <BR/><BR/>Hard to believe until I processed how not much is different in our natures of valuing self over others.
